A Encyclopedia of One Man's Journey Into the Wilderness of BDSM

This is a book worth reading for those who practice, or are desirous to practice, a BDSM lifestyle employing the "master and slave" role in their relationship(s) with mutual informed consent whom, at the same time, desire extensive explanation on each and every aspect, to the smallest of degree and particle, of what the author believes should and should not be done in such a relationship from the posture of a woman in the slave role to the intensity/duration/scope of "lecturing" the woman in a slave role. For the beginner, this book can serve as an encyclopedia (without footnote or reference mind you, but all from the brilliant mind of the author himself) of "master and slave" relationships. For the experienced practitioner, this book can be a valuable resource for finding new and creative ways to practice "master and slave" relationships and even discover some possible reasons why things went wrong in past "master and slave" relationships. As for the photography in the book, it offers a range of diversity from highly professional and instructional to fun and campy, which I suspect was done to lighten things up and make the material seem more fun and playful. Over 600 pages later of the author's BDSM wisdom, I can, without a doubt, say that I got my money's worth.

The book of all BDSM books!

This book is so much more than just "a book". To me it feels like an educational book, a memoir, a guiding light for navigating a D/s relationship. So, why is this a more significant book than what you might pickup at a local bookstore? Igniting The Fire is for anyone and everyone, for the beginners and the experienced. A lot of people are interested in learning about BDSM and this is the first book they should start with because it gives a complete overview of The Crow Academy teachings (Master Arcane makes it clear that this is just his method and that there are many different ways to practice BDSM, which I appreciate). It also includes little bits from Master Arcane's own experiences. Plus, there are very informative pictures and a glossary of terms which is always helpful and something that other books on the subject do not always include. This book is currently only available electronically at the moment which is nice because I can put bookmarks on pages I want to go back too, but I will be buying the hard copy edition too! Overall this book really exhibits a sense of passion and knowledge from Master Arcane. Get this book, you won't be disappointed!

If you are looking for a guide to kinky sex ...

If you are looking for a guide to kinky sex or for spicing up the bedroom with tips and positions this is definitely not your book!
However if you are looking for insight into a 24/7 M/s relationship or for enhancing or starting a deep 24/7 D/s relationship this is a book well worth reading. Master Arcane takes the time to give you insight on his dynamic, the etiquette, protocols, positions and various other facets of the dynamic. He gives a unique insight into how he does it himself and in doing so it allows you a glimpse into a real 24/7 dynamic. The book is well written, covers a large number of topics and is all done from personal experience. It is done from a non judgmental standpoint and in a fashion not so much to tell you how you should do it, but more to show you how he does it, so you can decide what works for yourself.
All in all if you are interested in the deeper and more fine-tuned facets of a 24/7 D/s or M/s relationship then this book is definitely worth reading
