Great value series, very enjoyable read...

Krinos (Take Over Book 1)

Krinos is an interesting story which follows Eliza or as most people know her Krinos who's being prepared by her father to take over the family drug business. She's a feisty alpha female if there is such a thing and she's prepared to do whatever it takes. She meets hot as hell Stefanos, who for the most part rocks her world. Stefanos also becomes very smitten, very quickly with the bad ass Krinos. Krinos is her father's daughter and she has no qualms about the fact that she will become boss of the "business”.

This story contains violence, drugs and sex. It is an interesting story and is a nice quick read. It’s only Book One of the Take Over Series by T.L. Smith but does not end on a cliff hanger although there is more to come I am sure. I read this book pretty much in one sitting and found it a great read. I gave this book 5 stars.

Kalon (Take Over Book 2)

Kalon, is the second book in the Take Over series. It continues where the first book finished and is the story of Eliza (Krinos) and Stefanos, her Greek God.

Krinos, is a tough woman, very tough and she really shines through in this portion of the story. We are introduced to a number of new characters, which all add to the intrigue of the story line. It also shows a softer side to Krinos, although she would hate for me to say that.

Who wouldn't love Stefanos? He really is a Greek God in all ways. He's definitely one of my current book boyfriends. Just love his dominant and demanding ways.

This is a very quick read, but I loved it. I absolutely cannot wait for the third installment. I give this book five stars.

Kratos (Take Over Book 3)

Kratos is written in Stefanos’ point of view and most definitely does not disappoint. This story just gets better and better and this book completes the Take Over Series. It gives a little background of the young Stefanos and then continues on from book two.

I love Stefanos’ point of view, it shows how he changes into the man he is, once he meets Eliza or his “Princess”. Book three takes on a different path when finally Stefanos becomes Eliza’s Kratos.

Although this is a short novella, it packs a punch and I thoroughly recommend the final book. I give this book a five star rating and cannot wait for more books by T. L. Smith.

I enjoyed the feelings of possessiveness he characters portrayed throughout the book. So sexy and intense! A fun read that kept me wanting to know about the other minor characters.

Good idea, poor execution.

I'm a huge King Arthur fan who also enjoys graphic novels, so when I saw this book I had to check it out. I have to say, I was very disappointed. The story has been hacked down to a thin, droll retelling of the classic story of Arthur. Granted, this is a graphic novel and you don't want a bunch of words cluttering up the artwork, but after reading the first two pages I could tell that the author really didn't care about the story and the whole book reads like something just thrown together to make a buck.

The artwork ranges from pretty good (the pictures of Merlin are great!) to bad (some of the pictures look like colored over stick men). Over all this book is very uninspiring and quickly forgetable. I give it 2 stars for the idea of turning the story of Arthur into a graphic novel and for some of the artwork, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a good graphic novel on Arthur and his knights. Hope this helps!

I love this graphic novel series for my elementary students and my secondary ELLs. Both groups love the illustrations and usually dive into the non-illustrated novel directly after reading the graphic novel.

The fact that a man takes the time to consciously thing about parenting in this day and age is encouraging to me. While this book is one man's thoughts and ideas on parenting, it also creates a space for anyone to consider, consciously and mindfully, how they are chooosing to parent. The stories are inspiring, the methodolgies thought provoking, the foundation is spiritual, and the intention, honorable.

Venerable Mary of Agreda reported that she received a lengthy revelation, about the terrestrial and heavenly life of Blessed Mary. That revelation was received directly from the Blessed Virgin Mary. The revelation also included information about the Blessed Virgin's relationship with the Triune God as well as the doings and Mysteries performed by Jesus as God-Man in flesh and in Spirit. The information was revealed with extensive detail in a narrative that covers the New Testament time line. The narrative was also accompanied by doctrines given by the Holy Mother on how to acquire true sanctity. It is that narrative that comprises The Mystical City of God. The work consists of 8 books in 6 volumes, this being a Popular Abridgement.

She attributed her writings to visions and dictations (word by word) from the Virgin Mary. Written in elegant language, they contain both terrestrial and spiritual detail. Those details were either not known or not totally accepted at the time. These included the Immaculate Conception of Virgin Mary, the Assumption of Mary, the duties of Michael the Archangel and Gabriel the Archangel, and meticulous detail on the childhood of Jesus. Other detail that Mary of Agreda provided included the Christ's Passion, Resurrection and Ascension.

A SPECIAL BOOK

Before reading this book I could only imagine what life was like for the most humble, yet greatest woman that ever walked the earth. This is my second reading of this work. If you've ever wondered why the Catholics hold Jesus' mother Mary in such high esteem, this book shows you why.

If you ever wondered about the life of Mary, mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ, this abridgement will give you an insiders look.at her life. I can imagine getting all the volumes would hard to get through because of the length. This was perfect and easily read for 15 to 20 minutes at a time and fulfilled the role of spiritual reading very well. Very enlightening.

This book is an amazing insight into the life of the Virgin Mary. Her interior and exterior life was completely aligned with the will of God. She is a perfect example of how to live in a manner most pleasing to Our Lord.

Need Part 2 ASAP!....

“Side Chick Catching Main Chick Feelings” by B.M. Hardin is more of an urban storyline that I have read written by her. She proves that despite this being out the normal for her that she is still able to captivate you with her words. I love an author that can challenge themselves and steps outside their comfort zone. It shows a level of understanding that you can’t get too complacent with only writing one style only. This book had minimal spelling/grammar issues (I’m no editor) that I did see but was not a complete distraction. It shows that you take value in what you put out/ present to your reading audience.

Moet: I can’t even fathom where to begin when discussing her. I don’t even know if I should be mad at her or just feel sad for her. Honestly, there is no amount of love worth all of that to go through pure nonsense. However, there are people that deal with/ tolerate worse in real life … So I guess you can never say never on what you will and will not do if faced with the same situations…

Drake: has the typical I can do “Me” but you better not do what I do mentality. At first you want to be upset but technically you couldn’t but so much. People will treat you how you allow them too and to test how far they can go. They will put you in situations that have you questioning yourself yet you don’t walk away. Such as in this case, it gives the impression that you are “ok” with it. I can’t wait to see how he truly reacts when everything comes to the light…

This book has so many twists and turns, and unexpected connections that you have to pay attention or you will miss something. This book had me on edge trying to figure out what was going to happen next, and I was so happy that it was not predictable that it would end the way that it did. I am looking for and excited about Part 2 … Need that like Yesterday ASAP!

I couldn't get into this book for NOTHING!! It was just too boring. It was long...drawn out... And unbelievable. I CANT read part 2. Hardin is a great author, but this book wasn't good

Not your typical "side chick" tale...

Six degrees of separation is real. This isn't the typical story of a side chick. Moët gave her all to Drake and takes being loyal to a new level. We all know every woman has a breaking point but hers seemed far away as she put up with being his "side chick" for quite sometime due to their long history that dates back to childhood. Just as things begin to look up, the author throws a huge plot twist into the mix. This was a very entertaining read that will surely have the reader moving quickly to part II.

Until the end of the early 1970s, from a history of economic thought perspective, the mainstream in economics was pluralist, but once neoclassical economics became totally dominant it claimed the mainstream as its own. Since then, alternative views and schools of economics increasingly became minorities in the discipline and were considered ‘heterodox’.

This book is in honour of John Edward King who has an impressive publication record in the area of economic theory with specific interest in how economic thought in the past shapes current economic theory and enforces certain paths of economic policy and economic development. This book is divided into five themes based on King’s interests. The first theme looks at the challenge in trying to reclaim pluralism in economics. The second faces head-on the direct collision of mainstream economics with history of economic thought and heterodox economics. The third addresses classical economic ideas, their central influence in the past and how they can still primarily guide modern pluralist economics. The fourth examines Post Keynesian and Kaleckian economics with a view to providing a more coherent and extensive branch of heterodox economics. The final theme critiques the policy of neoliberalism that has entrenched itself in capitalist economies which have led to financial, industrial, labour, and behavioural/consumerist crises.

This text aims to provide a clear path for pluralism to serve the economics discipline as its standard bearer, and to no longer be merely a heterodox challenge to the mainstream. This book is of interest to those who study history of economic thought, political economy and heterodox economics.
